At Adaptive Plays, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to participate in play, recreation, and physical activity, regardless of age, ability, or disability.

Based in Ontario, Canada, Adaptive Plays develops innovative games, equipment, and solutions that make physical activity more accessible, enjoyable, and inclusive for people who are blind or visually impaired, individuals with physical disabilities, people with exceptional needs, seniors, families, schools, community organizations, and recreation programs.

We recognize that traditional games and sports are not always accessible to everyone. Our goal is to remove barriers and create opportunities for participation, connection, and enjoyment through adaptive play.

Our Story

Adaptive Plays was founded on a simple belief: play is for everyone.

Physical activity provides far more than exercise. It builds confidence, strengthens social connections, improves well-being, and helps people develop skills that support independence throughout life.

Drawing on decades of experience in adaptive physical education, recreation, and sports for people with disabilities, Adaptive Plays was created to bridge the gap between traditional recreation and inclusive participation. We work with schools, families, rehabilitation professionals, recreation centres, and community organizations to adapt games and create new opportunities for meaningful participation.

Our products are designed to transform familiar activities into experiences that can be enjoyed by people of all abilities.

What We Do

Adaptive Plays helps individuals and organizations create inclusive recreation opportunities by:

• Designing adaptive games and play equipment
• Modifying existing games to increase accessibility
• Adapting equipment for individuals with vision, mobility, or other challenges
• Supporting schools, families, and organizations with inclusive recreation solutions
• Creating opportunities for people of all abilities to participate together

One example is our ABLE Tennis system, which transforms a standard table tennis table into an accessible game experience that can be enjoyed by people of varying abilities.
